Clinton's Taviouzie Booker ran into Daniel defenders and never stopped moving. Booker finished with one of his most impressive games of the season, rushing for 130+ yards rushing and tacked on a couple TDs as well.

1. Byrnes (12-1) - The Rebels demolished the Mauldin Mavs for the second time in less than a month, but were only able to score 69 points this time. Marcus Lattimore ran for his best game of the season, while Chas Dodd hooked up with some receivers as well. This week, Byrnes faces region rival Spartanburg, a team that has improved exponentially since the last time these teams played.

2. Dorman (12-1) - It wasn't easy, but Dorman's defense contained the powerful Irmo offense and did not allow a score. The offense for Dorman, however, struggled to find answers from anyone but sophomore RB Raymond Smith. Dorman needs to step up its offensive play this week when the improved Gaffney squad enters thirsty for another state championship.

3. Daniel (13-0) - Despite some controversial calls, Daniel burnt out Greenville's fire last week when the Lions held a superb offense to only 7 points. Deandre Hopkins continues to be a consistent playmaker, and will look to make bigger plays this week when he faces another dual-threat Kenny Cook from Clinton.

4. Gaffney (10-3) -  The Indians finally enter the ranks of the Power 4 after and up-and-down season that is currently on its way up. Gaffney faced rival Summerville last week and defeated them with a second-half comeback 35-28. Indians QB DeEdward Burris became only the second Gaffney QB to rush for 1,000 yards in a season, but he also has 2,500+ passing yards tacked alongside.

Greenville crushed Riverside's playoff surprise in a 35-0 shutout. On this play, Warriors punter Garth Gaillard tried to recover his punt but could not get it off before part of it was blocked. Fierre Taylor then caught the botched punt in midair, avoided a few tackles, and scored the touchdown.

1. Byrnes (10-1) - The Rebels recorded their first shutout of the season against the struggling Bulldogs, who finished their season 8-3 and out of the playoffs. The defense sacked Boiling Springs star QB Dylan Thompson five times and forced a fumble, but more importantly contained the run game for less than 50 yards. Byrnes hosts White Knoll in the first round of the 4A playoffs in what should be a favorable matchup for the Rebels.

2. Dorman (10-1) - Once again, the Cavaliers played a dismal first half against rival Spartanburg. But like always, Dorman exploded in the fourth quarter scoring 21 of its 28 points. Due to the 4A playoff system, Dorman is seeded #6 in the lower state playoff brackets and hosts a struggling Clover team in the first round of playoffs.

3. Woodruff (11-0) - Woodruff crushed Crescent 42-6 in the opening round of the playoffs. Jake Lambert only had to play one half of football to throw for 240 yards and 4 TDs, and the Wolverines are far from slowing down in the playoff race. Woodruff hosts Batesburg-Leesville this Friday.

4. Daniel (11-0) - Daniel recorded its 5th shutout of the season against Berea in the first round of the playoffs. Deandre Hopkins continues to be the biggest playmaker on both sides of the ball, but the Lions are supported by other skill players like C.J. Davidson and Antonio Cannon. The Lions host Chester in the second round, a rematch of the Upper State Finals last year when Chester upset the undefeated Lions.

Greenwood's Spearman Robinson went to catch an ordinary pass early in Week 10's game, but Sidney Rhodes met him with a crushing blow to send the ball out of bounds.

1. Byrnes (7-1) - Byrnes trailed to Hillcrest early in the game, but the Rebels stormed back. Rebels DB Zach Miller forced three turnovers against the Rams, helping the Byrnes defense gain some confidence heading into a tough Week 9 challenge. The Rebels will have to make up for last season's loss at Dorman when they host the Cavaliers at Nixon Field this Friday.

2. Dorman (8-0) - Dorman's defense forced 6 turnovers and 2 safeties against a hot Boiling Springs offense in Week 8. Charon Peake dominated with 3 TDs to prove he's one of the best players in the state. The Cavaliers play well-rounded football and should poise themselves as contenders when they travel to Nixon Field.

3. Woodruff (8-0) - Jake Lambert threw 260 yards and 5 TDs, and added one on the ground against Carolina. Shun Tribble added a huge run as well to continue his impressive sophomore season. Most impressively, the Wolverine defense contained the Trojans to only 70 yards of offense. Is there any weakness on this Wolverines squad?

4. Daniel (8-0) - The Lions defense allowed its first TD in nearly a month when B-HP scored on a pass from Cody Spence to Nino Woolridge. This season, the Lions have recorded 4 shutouts and have only allowed 28 points all season. The team erased all doubts about its talent last week and should continue to play well through the easy remaining region schedule.

1. Byrnes (5-1) - You may ask why Byrnes is still #1 in these power rankings after losing its first game this season. Power Rankings reflect our opinion on how well these area teams stack up against each other. The Rebels lost by only 8 points to the best team in the nation, and you can watch highlights here. Without question, Byrnes is still the best football team in this area until proven otherwise. Keep an eye out for October 23rd when Dorman travels to Nixon Field, and the Rebels cannot afford to turn the ball over against the potent Cavaliers if the team hopes to redeem itself from last week's loss.

2. Dorman (6-0) - Cavaliers QB Johnny Foster is becoming quite a star in his own right, moving up in the spotlight along with A.J. Booker and Charon Peake. He threw 2 TD passes last week and Booker continued his dominance with 2 TD runs in the Wildcat formation. Coach Dave Gutshall currently has 299 wins and his next game will be quite a challenge when Dorman travels to undefeated Mauldin for our Game of the Week!

3. Woodruff (6-0) - Fortunately for Jake Lambert, the Wolverines finally found an offensive rushing attack thanks to the emergence of Shun Tribble. Tribble ran for 3 TDs in the Wolverines huge win over Southside, and Lambert added 2 scores on 350+ yards passing.

4. Mauldin (6-0) - The Mavs move up a spot in our Power Rankings after another dominating win in Week 6. Jeremiah McKie is leading this offensive machine with plenty of speedsters including RB Tiquention Coleman. Mauldin's offense rightfully receives most of the credit for the 6-0 start, but the defense will be challenged in Week 7's matchup against Dorman.

Daniel's Deandre Hopkins caught a TD from QB Colton Korn and then intercepted a pass and juked past defenders "breaking some ankles," and helped the Lions shut out Pendleton 28-0.
