High School Playbook

5. Abbeville (12-1) - The Panthers are rolling strong in the playoffs after defeating Batesburg-Leesville, but Central will be a tough obstacle for our only remaining 2A team. Central won the Upper State Championship last year over Woodruff, but Abbeville plays a different kind of football.

6. Spartanburg (5-8) - What?! Yea, that's right, the Vikings demolished undefeated and third-ranked Rock Hill and then stopped last year's runner-up Sumter from moving on to the next round. In fact, the Vikings held Sumter's offense to only 30 total yards in the first half. Could they beat Byrnes this week? They might as well have a chance!

7. Clinton (10-3) - The Red Devils are relentless in this playoff race and have now won five road games in a row. Clinton's biggest challenge of the season will be Daniel this week, but the Red Devils already proved that facing a #1 seed is a non-challenge. Watch out for Kenny Cook lining up agianst Deandre Hopkins on offense and defense.

 Well BHP is officially out of the play-offs....BUT i have to say i am extremely proud of the boys for getting as far as they did...GREAT JOB...Soccor and Baseball are coming up so be on the lookout for pics from their homegames... LOVE MY BEARS!!!

5. Gaffney (9-3) - Indians shut out a strong Stratford team 31-0. QB DeEdward Burris fell a few yards short of a 1000 yard rushing season, but continued to excel through the air with 200 yards and 2 TDs. Gaffney's next opponnent is perrenial rival Summerville, a team the Indians have faced many times over the past 50 years.

6. Mauldin (10-2) - The Mavs defeated Fort Dorchester 32-21. Unfortunately, Mauldin needs a miracle to advance past Byrnes in the second round, and can only hope end the season out strong, if defeated.

7. Greenville (10-2) - The Red Raiders are one of the hottest teams around with 10 straight wins. Greenville hosts Daniel for the third round of the playoffs, which is a guaranteed Game of the Week.

8. Union County (7-5) - The most surprising team of the postseason, Union County found an offense when it mattered. The next opponent is region rival Clinton, the team that defeated the Jackets 13-10.

9. Greenwood (9-3) - Greenwood is the only area team remaining the in the Div II bracket of the 4A playoffs. The Eagles travel next to take on #1 Berkeley, and Greenwood needs to find some answers on defense if the team will advance.

10. Clinton (9-3) - Clinton proved to be a team that could play under pressure with a 39-13 win over B-HP. Can the Red Devils win big again? We'll see when they travel to Union this week.

11. Spartanburg (4-8) - What?! Yea, that's right, the Vikings demolished undefeated and third-ranked Rock Hill. The next opponent is defending Lower State Champ Sumter,  a team the Vikings faced earlier in the season and lost 34-21.

12. Ware Shoals (9-3) - Could you call it surprising that Ware Shoals ran all over Christ Church? Not when you see the potent offense these Hornets run. A tough challenge this week though for the only remaining area team in 1A.

 Okay well i put up stuff from an interview with Andrew Cox(#12)... for some reason this site will not upload my video right now so i will have that up later...The game is this friday against Clinton...Everyone please come out and be supportive of our Bears...Gotta love my Bears!!!

 Well i just uploaded the pictures from Round One Play-offs BHP vs Eastside... of course the website has to reveiw them but they should be up shortly... Interview stuff will be up asap....We play Clinton this weekend and as we all know we lost to them last time....BUT we were not on our "A" game that time....BUT we are going to beat them this game...the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP DEPENDS ON IT!!!! Gotta love them Bears!!!!

5. Gaffney (8-3) - For the second week in a row, DeEdward Burris totaled at least 340 yards. Unfortunately, Gaffney's secondary could not contain Northwestern's potent pass attack, and lost the region title. Gaffney is seeded #7 in the playoffs and hosts Stratford in the opening round.

6. Mauldin (9-2) - Mauldin defeated Hillcrest in the regular season finale, and didn't need much to get in the playoffs. QB Jeremiah McKie and the Mavs face Fort Dorchester in the opening round of 4A playoffs.

7. Abbeville (10-1) - Dureal Elmore and Jermaine Thackson each reached the 1000 yard rushing mark this past week. Abbeville should roll on to face Woodruff in Upper State Championship.

8. Greenville (9-2) - Red Raiders winners of 9 straight and face a tough Riverside team that continues to surprise teams every week.

9. Wren (9-2) - QB Austin McCaskill and crew enter 4A Div II playoff as #3 seed, and the team is performing well down the stretch.

10. Belton-Honea Path (9-2) - Rematch with Clinton in next round. Bears lost 21-14 earlier this season, but the team has improved with strong play from Cody Spence and Nino Woolridge.

11. Union County (6-5) - How can I describe this team? Unpredictable. Score only 88 points first nine games of the season, but 64 in the past two games alone. Defense has been stout all season, but can the offense continue to perform well?

12. Clinton (8-3) - Great skill players. This team has plenty of potential, and proved that last week with a 35-0 win over #1 Fairfield-Central.

 wren kicked easley's butts and we are going to host james island for the first round of playoffs. last night was senior night. soo much fun topped with an outstanding win.

 Okay so we are headed towards the second round of play-offs after an amazing game against east-side. Score....41-14..... WOW!!! i ve got the pics but ive got to put them up... have them up tomorrow....(hopefully)... Love my Bears....
