5. Mauldin (8-1)- The Mavs came out strong against Boiling Springs in Week 9, not only firing on offense but limiting the Bulldogs to only one score. Mauldin faces a huge challenge against Byrnes in Week 10, but the team shows plenty of promise after the close game against Dorman.

6. Gaffney (7-2)- The Indians have won four straight after the 60-7 loss to Byrnes in Week 5, and QB DeEdward Burris is nearly unstoppable. Gaffney is guaranteed a playoff spot with a current 3-0 region record, but face a tough Clover team in Week 10 that will challenge the Indians for the region crown.

7. Abbeville (8-1)- Had it not been for a one-point loss to Woodruff, these Panthers would be undefeated. Regardless, Abbeville will be a top team in the 2A playoffs and its high-octane offense should make a huge difference towards the possible rematch with Woodruff.
8. Greenville (7-2)- A winner of 7 straight, Greenville has plenty to look forward to in Week 10 when the team plays region rival JL Mann, a team that has scored 241 points in the last 4 weeks.
