5. Boiling Springs (6-0) - The Bulldogs drop a spot in the Power Rankings after defeating one of the worst teams in the state by a mere 14 points. Regardless, this is the first 6-0 start in school history, and that motivation will keep this offense rolling as long as the two runningbacks are in full health. Dylan Thompson will be tough for region opponent Hillcrest to handle in Week 7, but the Bulldogs will be tested down the stretch when facing Dorman, Maudlin, and Byrnes in 4 weeks.

6. Daniel (6-0) - The Lions are off to another great start this season with the consistency of star Deandre Hopkins on both sides of the ball. Belton-Honea Path is the biggest obstacle in Daniel's path to another region title, but the team's offensive balance and defensive strength will make the Lions difficult to defeat.

7. Abbeville (5-1) - The Panthers squad is one point from an undefeated record and should be able to avenge its loss to Woodruff if they continue to glide through region play. Jermaine Thackson leads this team with more confidence than last season, and the Panthers
8. Belton-Honea Path (5-1) - The Bears one loss came at the hands of our #9 Clinton Red Devils, but the team's consistency and unpredictable offense will give the team a chance to upset Daniel for a region title.
